MW / Incendiary

Incendiary is the word that William Miller, the protagonist in the film 'Almost Famous,' used to describe the guitar-playing of Stillwater's Russell Hammond. It means 'capable of causing fire,' or 'tending to excite or inflame,' and I think that the same term is equally appropriate to describe the legendary guitarist Jeff Beck. He is ranked 5th in Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, is dubbed one of the Most Influential Lead Guitarists in Rock, and is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee.

And the same descriptor applies to bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, who at 25 has already gained worldwide recognition. She has performed alongside the most legendary jazz and rock artists like Lee Ritenour, The Allman Brothers Band, Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin), Prince, Steven Lukather (of Toto), and of course, Jeff Beck, who called her a genius.

Together with drummer Vinnie Colauita, these two musicians set the house on fire with their instrumental performance of 'Cause We've Ended As Lovers.
